Hi! I’m Yixin Shen — a documentary director and motion designer based in Shanghai.
👋嗨！我是沈怡欣——一名🎬纪录片导演和🕹️动态设计师，目前在上海工作和生活。
I originally studied Interaction Design at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, but it was during an exchange semester at Columbia University that I stumbled upon experimental video. That unexpected discovery pulled me into the world of filmmaking, and I’ve been exploring it ever since.
我原本在华中科技大学学习交互设计，大四时前往哥伦比亚大学交换，在那里我第一次接触到实验视频，由此开始对「影像」产生了强烈的兴趣。
Over the years, I’ve worked across all kinds of formats — from documentaries and motion pieces to experimental shorts and commercial projects. I view digital media as a platform for expressing ideas I value and for creating work that is intentional in both content and visual.
大学毕业后，我开始探索不同类型的影像创作，包括纪录片、动态影像、实验短片和商业广告等等。我希望通过数字媒介向观众传递我认同的价值观念，创作出兼具视觉表现力与内容深度的作品。
Outside of work, I like to doodle small moments from everyday life. It’s a simple habit that helps me slow down, notice more, and stay connected to creativity in a personal, easygoing way.
工作之余，我喜欢通过🎨画画来记录我的生活，它不仅是我放松的方式，也常常为内容创作带来意想不到的🍄灵感。
